As I have always stated, I look forward to this time of year when I get to head to my tropical vacation.  I have started up the grow shed and I have had to afjust to working in the 28+ greenhouse. I planted the petunias, gazanias, violas, strawberries, dusty miller, some tomatoes, and others I can't spell.  I planted them on Tuesday this week after a winter getaway with my siblings, and our parents. Which by the way was fantastic. Thanks mom and dad. We went fishing, snowmobiling, hot tubbing, played baseball in the snow, played board games, and laughed like there is no tomorrow.  We always look forward to spend time together.
Oops back to my greenhouse. I am excited to announce that I have babies today. Pansies, violas, and gazanias have poked their little heads out. Off the topic again, I am a very proud new Aunty. My sister in-law and her husband had a baby girl on Tuesday. Kensley Dawn Haas came into this world weighing a whopping 7lbs 14oz. I haven't met her yet but I am going to see her on Sunday. So excited. I am thrilled to be a step Aunty to two grown women and an Aunty now to two girls. Oh yes and an Aunty to a four legged who thinks he's human chocolate lab. (Which I get to babysit this weekend).
The weeks to come are filled with reorganizing greenhouses, planning a staff appreciation, training new hired students, organizing an After School Program for the community (with the help of great friends), making sure we are on schedule for Gardenscape in Saskatoon this March(still looking for volunteers, hint, hint), and trying to find my office desk again.
As I have said before, I have started tweeting on twitter. I find it easier to tweet interesting ideas, and Facebook for daily updates. I will still blog and do the information updates like last year. If you want to know what I've been up to during the day twitter or Facebook will be updated daily. Twitter name is @judygrayson and Facebook is under MooseBay Greenhouses with the Moose welcome sign.
Take care until next time,
Judy
