2015 season opener

With only a few weeks left before my season begins I am frantically finalizing orders and reviewing what I have coming for the season. I am very excited to see what this season will bring. My husband says its going to be an early spring with warmer weather and I can't wait.
Can you believe this will be my eighth season? I sure can't; I still learn new things every season and just when I think I have something figured out, it changes. Eight years ago I didn't know how many wave petunias to plant, well to be honest, I didn't know there was more than one type of wave. Talk about a learning curve. It was straight up then and it still is. I love my job and everything that comes with it. Who doesn't love the smell of fresh soil and feeling warm on a cold day. It's like opening a fresh can of coffee and taking it all in. Yes it's heaven.
I am opening the greenhouses a week later this year, May 8. I have some wholesale orders that I would like to get sent out, trees/shrubs/perennials/water plants to come in and the greenhouses reorganized before I open to the public. Last season it was chaos trying to sort and serve at the same time. Time management is on the top of my list of improvements for this season.
New for 2015
I have ordered some furniture, a bat house, and a purple martin house from Sarc for this season. I will have a catalog for you to see what other products they provide. It is a great program and they provide quality products. I have had their chairs for 5 years and they are standing up great.
Of course there are new plants to come see. What's the exciting new plant? I know that is the number one question. Well you will have to come see. :) With more foliage colors, new petunia varieties, tropical plants, funky evergreens, and an overall large selection of plants there is something for everyone.
I look forward to starting the 2015 season
See you all very soon,
Until next time,
Judy
